Emotionally Intelligent Leadership through Mindfulness – A Course
for Managers
2 days: (can be shortened to one day)
The program is designed to inspire participants into a strategy of a personal practice, leading to lasting change, to take responsibility for self and find the dynamic balance between managing and leading based on situations.
Today’s managers face tremendous stress in a volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous world exacerbated by technology. Internet, e mail and cell phones have sped communications and expectation for higher productivity - to do more with less - leaving people frustrated, tired and unwell.
This cycle of stress impacts well-being - rational intelligence – to be sharp to analyze and make sound decisions and emotional intelligence – the ability to manage self to create a positive, appreciative work culture. The practice of mindfulness – centering your attention on the present – has been around for centuries. Research demonstrates health and well-being benefits, also impacts how people think, feel, act, relate, perform, lead and collaborate. The practice helps one to be resilient to act skillfully in difficult situations rather than react.
This 2-day interactive co-inquiry facilitated by a long-term mindfulness practitioner - will share the science behind the practice; psychological and physiological benefits; tools and methods based on a focus on the breath to become more mindful, resilient and be grounded through stress and uncertainty.
The program is designed to inspire participants into a strategy of a personal practice leading to lasting change - to take responsibility for self and find the dynamic balance between managing and leading based on situations to create a harmonious organizational culture of wellbeing to perform. This is the Power of Balance – a dynamic process.
